Shaynee had a lovely time living in Macedonia for 2+ years as a Peace Corps Volunteer. While there, she absolutely fell in love with the country, and more so, it’s people. Upon leaving, she vowed to return as soon as she could. While she wanted to go back the moment she returned to America, life being as it is, she had to wait a year and a half to actually make that happen. Shaynee was happy to discover that it’s quite easy to go back, which she plans on doing often.
Robby heard many a tale about Macedonia from Shaynee and was very interested in checking it out himself. Also, hearing all of Shaynee’s wonderful stories stoked Robby’s fire for travel and adventure. It was just as incredible as he imagined it could be, and Robby looks forward to many more adventures in the years to come.
Macedonia is a wonderful place. Lake Ohrid, as pictured here, is romantic AND extremely affordable. Macedonia also has the best honey, in my opinion, on the planet. Finally, though, Macedonia needs to do a better job with its Skopje airport sign. It’s way too small.
